This is difficult. Your ex is in the middle of all this. I presume that his new girlfriend is not so happy about how everything is going concerning you and your kids. Basically, the police and a social worker from child protective services showed up at about 9:30 p.m. They had received a ';referral'; from ';someone'; that my 8 year old nephew is not attending school. There was also mention that ';people'; or ';someone'; is smoking marijuana and drinking alcohol in the backyard and downstairs room. No one in the home drinks any type of alcohol. I believe there may be some indulgence in marijuana though I know never outside and only on rare occasion by my sister. My sister and her son currently reside in our mothers home as mom is getting on in age and doesn't get around as well as she used to. The home is neither a ';party place'; nor ';flop house';. Visitors to the home are limited to family which includes myself (50), my son (23), my sisters two older children (23 %26amp; 21), their significant others (25 %26amp; 21) %26amp; 2 of my sisters friends (approx 32 %26amp; 35). When they arrived they showed no warrant but my sister allowed them into the home. They questioned her then had her wake her son and then leave the room while they questioned him. My sisters son has untreated ADHD and is home schooled by her. The officers left and shortly afterward so did the CPS worker. My sister was told by her that she and her son were adorable and when she stated to the worker that she is not trying to hurt her son she is trying to help him the worker smiled and said that she understood. However my sister was left with instructions to contact another social worker. This was about 3 wks ago. They have played phone tag since and last week the social worker left a message that she received another referral %26amp; she wants to schedule an appointment to come to the home and speak with her and her son. My sister is afraid if they test her urine they will find her positive for the marijuana and may remove her son from her custody. Can they do this? Why wasn't the initial visit by the CPS worker sufficient to close this case? Apparently they were not concerned as the boy was not taken into custody? What should/can she do? If they return to the home and she just doesn't answer the door will they force entry into the home if they have a warrant? Would they be able to obtain a warrant for this? Will her avoidance cause them to obtain a warrant and again would they be able to for this? How quickly can they obtain this warrant? My sister tends to hide her head in the sand and hope that everything will just go away on its own or run and hide. She's been through a lot in life and personally I believe she too suffers from an untreated condition such as agoraphobia or something along those lines. Could even be PTSD (post traumatic stress disorder) leftover from an abusive relationship with the boys father, which ended in May 2003. She has severe problems talking with anyone she doesn't know especially if the encounter may be negative or confrontational, she NEVER answers or speaks on the phone to anyone except her own children and even with them it is rare. They communicate face to face or via text messaging. She is 47 years old, and resides in Daly City, San Mateo County, California

Boyfriend chatting to girls online. Advice please?
So I found out a few months ago that my boyfriend is chatting to girls online, they contacted him via Skype (Ive since had people do the same thing to me but I chose to ignore them). I was pretty upset when I discovered this, and when I confronted him about this he lied. When I told him I saw his contacts and his chat history he owned up to chatting to these girls out of loneliness (he鈥檚 away with work for 3months on his own) in the evening after work when theirs no one to talk to. I asked him if he was chatting to girls elsewhere, he said no, I asked to see his Gmail account and found that he鈥檚 chatting to one girl in particular, a lot. She lives on the other side of the world so I know he鈥檚 not meeting her or anything but I鈥檓 worried that because this was something he was keeping secret from me and when confronted with it he lied.
Do you think I should be worried? Would it be too much for me to demand that he stops talking to these people?

this sounds like a replay of my situation a few months ago. my boyfriend was chatting with girls on this one site (happened to be the site that we met on) and it wasn't about everyday things lol. i also checked his email and SHOCKER he was messaging a particular girl as well. i flipped. he said it was cause he was bored. he didn't lie when i called him out, but he tried to at first. but just like you, when i quoted some of the things that was said, he gave in.
i don't think you should necessarily be worried, but definitely keep an eye on him. if he's just talking about everyday things, then whatever. that's one thing. but if that's all he's talking about then why would he lie? good question to ask yourself.

That's a tough situation. I have the same issue with my boyfriend on myspace it really bothers, but I think you have to trust him some men just get a little thrill from chatting and I think as long as it doesn't evolve into meeting in person or talking on the phone it isn't a big deal.
I also believe that if he's being unfaithful you will know, women usually can tell.
i don't think you should be worried about the chatting in particular.. You should be worried because he is starting to lie to you! If he starts to lie ya'll are going to lose the trust bond in your realtionship... I think you should tell him how you feel and ask him to stop chatting online just to be on the safe side..

On the surface, it is harmless, and you can rest assured that you don't have a thing to be worried about.
However, since your boyfriend lied to you, means he's deceitful, and this places your relationship in question.
You need to reapraise your relationship, and whether fidelity is important to either of you.
That means relationship with chatlines.
If you think you should be the only one with whom he chats, then you need to make that clear to him.
Lastly, there is something to be said regarding being controlling and suspicious on your part: If you expect an honest relationship, you must in the future, respect his right to privacy.
Hopefully, you will build a bond of trust between you two. That means moving your relationship to a higher-level, or both of you move on to other things.

i don't see there being a problem if he is just chatting to girls, if he is being friendly and nothing is coming of it what's the problem. If it turns sexual that's when the trouble begins....
however, why did he feel the need to lie? if he hasn't got anything to hide he shouldn't have lied at all. And i think it is the lying you have to concentrate on not the online talks. if he can lie about something as simple and 'innocent' as this what else can he lie about?

What's worse is that they're most likely lying about other stuff as well. It's hard to try and rebuild trust, it can be done if BOTH of you work at it together.

this sounds like a replay of my situation a few months ago. my boyfriend was chatting with girls on this one site (happened to be the site that we met on) and it wasn't about everyday things lol. i also checked his email and SHOCKER he was messaging a particular girl as well. i flipped. he said it was cause he was bored. he didn't lie when i called him out, but he tried to at first. but just like you, when i quoted some of the things that was said, he gave in.
i don't think you should necessarily be worried, but definitely keep an eye on him. if he's just talking about everyday things, then whatever. that's one thing. but if that's all he's talking about then why would he lie? good question to ask yourself.

That's a tough situation. I have the same issue with my boyfriend on myspace it really bothers, but I think you have to trust him some men just get a little thrill from chatting and I think as long as it doesn't evolve into meeting in person or talking on the phone it isn't a big deal.
I also believe that if he's being unfaithful you will know, women usually can tell.
i don't think you should be worried about the chatting in particular.. You should be worried because he is starting to lie to you! On the surface, it is harmless, and you can rest assured that you don't have a thing to be worried about.
However, since your boyfriend lied to you, means he's deceitful, and this places your relationship in question.
You need to reapraise your relationship, and whether fidelity is important to either of you.
That means relationship with chatlines.
If you think you should be the only one with whom he chats, then you need to make that clear to him.
Lastly, there is something to be said regarding being controlling and suspicious on your part: If you expect an honest relationship, you must in the future, respect his right to privacy.
Hopefully, you will build a bond of trust between you two. That means moving your relationship to a higher-level, or both of you move on to other things.

i don't see there being a problem if he is just chatting to girls, if he is being friendly and nothing is coming of it what's the problem. If it turns sexual that's when the trouble begins....

Be careful. The American Bar Association does not accredit strictly online programs in Paralegal Studies. Although Kaplan's program is the most reputable of the online programs, I would suggest attending a brick and mortar institution -- even if you cannot devote all of your time to going to school. As the previous poster suggested, I would look into your local community college and find out if they offer a paralegal program and if it is ABA accredited.

Veterinarian online advice please (cat)?
Last Saturday I took my cat to the vet to have an abscess drained. It looked as though he had been bitten on the hind leg and the wound became infected fairly quickly. The low cost vet where I take him is 2 hours away, I have no car so I take public transportation (2 trains and a bus, the bus stops running at 7pm).. I was told to bring him back in 3-4 days. I couldn't do that because of lack of transportation and bad weather.
Now, he still has his bandages on and I have been giving him his amoxil and pain meds on time as prescribed. I know that he vet needs to take a look at the incision and I plan on taking him back tomorrow.
My question is - Is there anything I can do now or should worry about in the meantime? I have not changed the bandage and I couldn't anyway because this cat won't let you touch that leg without attacking.
He seems to be doing well though.Veterinarian online advice please (cat)?
There are no vets here, sometimes a few vet techs but that is all. Why not call the vet's and tell them what is happening, I'm sure they will be happy to help you. Sounds like he is doing well and you have helped him. I'm glad you will be taking him back to the vet.

Harrasment Online Advice?
I'm on this small Avatar-online community and there's a girl constantly sending me threats and hate statements such as ';Die you mexican ****'; Etc
and I've contacted the moderators,
and I get replies such as
';Tell them to stop'; ..Which doesn't do anything. And It's clearly discriminating from a moderator advicing me to ignore them, and then telling me to stop (I cant if they're ignored) ( yes I do have print-screen evidence).
Even after a week after, she still keeps harassing me, I report to a modsagain, and he says ';there is nothing we can do, she was banned for the night already'
..She's already banned for something else, b4 i reported. -.-
I posted forums about the unjustice (which the company deleted, not locked [Which they 99.9 of the time do]) But luckily I have everything still on my computer.
The company is failing to take action against this harrasser, they wont even bann her, even though on the terms of use RACISM is ZERO-tolerated.

All of those above if allegedly said or written against you are grounds for a case. If you also have evidence showing the true identity of the person you are against then you have a strong case. But if the only identity you have of your alleged harasser is her handle then legally, the courts might decide negatively on your case. This is because you do not know the real identity of the person you are against.
These are the things you can legally do in my opinion if you decide to sue her. I am not a lawyer myself so better ask someone from the legal profession regarding your case. It might be expensive option. The cheap way of dealing with this is ignoring the person or you transfer to a different forum.

Depends on your own drive, on-line is very independant. You're at your own mercy in succeeding and the balls in your hand. Are you able to study on your own? Or do you need someone to sit with you to walk you through each step?

I don't have the experience of the whole on line school just one course (General Psychology), that I decided to take instead of the actual class. I thought it would save time and allow me plenty of time to do work for other classes that I was required to be present in. Didn't quite work out for me. I didn't have the discipline for it. I kept putting the work off until suddenly it was the course deadline and I hadn't even signed in to any of the on line lectures. So of course I failed. I ended up taking the class the next semester but chose an actual class instead of on line. So if that's what you decide to do ';Good Luck';. I know going to school is really hard for you when you work full time but maybe try a weekend class t a college. I know some of the community colleges offer courses that are condensed so that people who do have a full life can still receive their degree at a minimum amount of time. Try looking into that as well.

I'm seriously considering getting my RN and my CWCA wound certification. Your job is to make sure you understand the mortgage or mortgages that you are approved for. Ask you mortgage broker to explain each and every mortgage loan you are qualified for.
Each person's financial situation is different, therefore what might make your friend or family members a good mortgage, your financial situation might call for a different mortgage. So in order to make an intelligent decision you would need to know what you mortgage programs you are qualified.
Make sure you understand the mortgage you select for yourself. You would want this mortgage explained to you. When you sign your loan docs the interest rate, monthly mortgage payments and number of years your loan is as explained to you by your mortgage broker.
If anything is different you should not sign theses docs until after any changes made are explained to you. I settled on a broker through Century 21 because they do not sell the mortgage. That is important to me. I want to be able to contact the same person throughout the life of my loan if I need to.

I have completed four years plus of undergraduate studies at various colleges but because of family obligations, financial problems etc I never really had a chance to finish. First of all, you will need to pay very close attention to the syllabus requirements. I've had teachers who have had requirements as to how many times you need to log in each week or how much time you need to spend at the course website as a way of grading you for attendance.
You should also be prepared to do a lot of reading. A few of the professors I studied under assigned very large amounts of reading because they knew that we would have access to our textbooks while taking the exams and did not want the information to be too easy to locate, particularly for students who were not completing the reading.
Some of my teachers also had requirements for engaging in discussion postings on the site with other students, and only well-thought out responses received grades.
I always made it a point to try to log in to all of my classes once a day just in case I might have forgotten when a quiz or assignment was due. Even if I didn't do any work at the time, it was my way of ensuring I never fell behind and really helped me.

You go to a certain website and all the chapters you are going to learn about are links. You just read the lectures and you will see were assignments are and stuff.
Online calsses can be very busy or very slow. Oh yes and it depends if you have a good teacher or not too. I think I learn more or just the same in online classes compared to traditional in class classes.
Always pace yourself too. What I do is for every month is make a calender and look in the course schedule and put down assignments that are due, so I know a few days before what is due when so I don't get lost and I know what is comming up.
Always ask questions too if you feel stuck.

Actually, broadening/improving one's language skills is a very broad concept, it can be done in more than one ways at the same time which is highly recommended. One can NOT become better ONLY in one area e.g. grammar, one MUST improve skills in ALL dimensions of the language!
Learning language well requires being as active as possible and making the learning fun for oneself. Taking lessons is always important, but equally important are these:
1) Listen/watch: Listen to internet radio stations like BBC, watch TV shows in English (use only subtitles, NOT voice dubbing!), etc.
2) Write/communicate: Try to find discussion forums from the web about things that you find interesting (music/various artists, hobbies, etc.) and start communicating there with other people using English. Start using instant messaging systems in case you find some new friends or start emailing them.
3) Buy yourself a proper dictionary, and each time when you see a strange word that you do not understand, look it up.
The main point in ANY language learning is to make it as fun as possible for yourself. Try to find topics that interest you, read online newspapers, listen to BBC/NBC and other radio stations online, if you find a discussion forum for e.g. your favourite hobby or your idols in music do participate there, etc.
I'm sorry there is no easy way out with this, one really must develop language skills in ALL these language ';levels'; or dimensions in order to reach better language skills!!

Actually, broadening/improving one's language skills is a very broad concept, it can be done in more than one ways at the same time which is highly recommended. One can NOT become better ONLY in one area e.g. grammar, one MUST improve skills in ALL dimensions of the language!
Learning language well requires being as active as possible and making the learning fun for oneself. Taking lessons is always important, but equally important are these:
1) Listen/watch: Listen to internet radio stations like BBC, watch TV shows in English (use only subtitles, NOT voice dubbing!), etc.
2) Write/communicate: Try to find discussion forums from the web about things that you find interesting (music/various artists, hobbies, etc.) and start communicating there with other people using English. Start using instant messaging systems in case you find some new friends or start emailing them.
3) Buy yourself a proper dictionary, and each time when you see a strange word that you do not understand, look it up.
The main point in ANY language learning is to make it as fun as possible for yourself. Try to find topics that interest you, read online newspapers, listen to BBC/NBC and other radio stations online, if you find a discussion forum for e.g. your favourite hobby or your idols in music do participate there, etc.
I'm sorry there is no easy way out with this, one really must develop language skills in ALL these language ';levels'; or dimensions in order to reach better language skills!!
Last but not least: NEVER EVER use ANY online translators, they are nothing but utter rubbish!! English is practically EVERYWHERE in the online world these days, you just have to use your imagination to find it!

As Kit says, you need to be more specific. What exactly are you looking for in a game. Some people like these ported korean grindfests, some don't. They're mainly geared towards leveling up a lot and not much else.
Flyff is a particularly stereotyped example of such games. If you have friends to hang out with it'll be ok, otherwise you'll probably get bored of it after checking out the available classes, especially if you prefer ';added value'; content like real PvP and quests that aren't merely fetchquests.

you could always sell it to me or you could just take the carb off of the bike make sure your in a clean area so you dont lose any of the screws and just tak apart the carb spray down all the insides of the carb including the jets and put it together(reverse order from how you took it apart)its not hard at all its very simple

Work as much as possible. If you already work full time, get a part time job after work. Don't allow yourself any free time to get on the computer. Self employment won't help because you'll still have control over your time.
Stay off the computer...find other activities to do.
Have a friend install software that blocks those sites (much like many parents put on their kid's computers).
Learn some self control.
Get therapy.
Dude really? Its not that hard. Go outside. Hang with friends. Take the computer out of your room. Just stop watching it.
My suggestion would be to find something else that interests you and focus on that. Or find something else online to occupy yourself besides these videos.
Get rid of the computer and join an Addicts Anonymous group
try getting a blocking software like ';K9 Web Proctection'; then let someone else decide the password so that you would'nt know how to over ride it :)

Online teachers: need advice about collaborative learning project?
Do you know of anyone who has tried to conduct a mock trial in an online setting?
If so, how was it constructed? How well did it work?Online teachers: need advice about collaborative learning project?
Somethings just need to be completed in person. I would think such a project would fail miserably, and I would question what relevant learning would occur--sorry to be a cynic on this one!
Mock trials are lessons in public speaking.
Students need to interact with each other; this is why real law cases are tried in courtrooms not in message thread forums or chat rooms.
