Any advice on booking flights online (Expedia, traveloctiy....) ? Is it better to use a travel agent or?

to book online ? Any advantages or disadvantages to either one besides the price difference ? ThanxAny advice on booking flights online (Expedia, traveloctiy....) ? Is it better to use a travel agent or?
The advantages are price and convenience. They are secure and reliable, plus they cut out the middle man and pass that saving back to the customer.

Besides the online agents, you should also check out the airline websites themselves, as they often have deals available if you book through the site or well in advance.Any advice on booking flights online (Expedia, traveloctiy....) ? Is it better to use a travel agent or?
It's actually usually best to book directly through the airline. Those sites such as Expedia or Travelocity always charge a ';booking fee'; (at least $5, sometimes more). Travel agents have the same thing usually. And the fares are almost always the same as through the airline, but since the airline doesn't charge the fee, then it's actually a better deal to go through them. Most airlines have a guarantee that you will find the lowest fare through their own website anyway.
If you have time, try all. though online is quick and easy.Theres more sites like Kayak.com cheapoair.com or priceline.com
1st advantage: basically, if u book online and make an error, its ur fault, so fees or penalties for making changes to that error is shouldered by YOU.. if u call them and book thru their agt, and they make a mistake (they're also only human) its the company that will shoulder these.. thus, making it safer for you to book by calling them..

2nd: they know their website more than any loyal customer.. so if u ask for some specifics, they will find those for you
