Can chatting online and getting advice from E-6 through E-9 count as fraternization?

Just a thought because I'm an E-2.Can chatting online and getting advice from E-6 through E-9 count as fraternization?
No. It is called seeking mentorship. That is one of the things that your NCOs are supposed to provide you with.Can chatting online and getting advice from E-6 through E-9 count as fraternization?

I doubt it, Unless you or they know that you are in the same chain of command.
It shouldn't since the book reads that fraternization it's an off duty relationship with a purpose of self gain, and this is only with officers but for some reason they read it for higher ranking enlisted.
I would think no...as long as its kept on a professional basis.





That would be like saying, just talking to or getting career advice from a superior (E-6 through E-9) is fraternization.
It depends on what you're chatting about, but more importantly whether or not the NCOs are in your chain of command. Also, whether or not you could gain anything, such as a promotion or easier job, based on the chatting.
