I took two on line classes while I was in college. One posted a syllabus and you were responsible for the all the work and deadlines on your own. The other one required a one hour a week online time with student input.

You need to be a person who can follow a syllabus and be self motivated. You must stay on top of the deadlines. It worked out just fine for me.Im thinking of taking online classes can any one give me advice about it?
ok, the advantage of taking online is it save your time. for instance, if you take english class online . . . you cant online and do your work at midnight and do your math HW at noon ( bcoz u might need someone to ask for ) and another thing, you dont need to waste your time in class, especially if the class is boring
i have taken one online class and it was a mixed experience. Though i enjoyed the freedom, many times i slacked off with the course work. My professor did not exept late work and all assignments had to be turned in specific formats. I think you should take your less serious classes online and come up with a system to stay on track. I put due dates on a calendar. Also if you can try to meet other people with online classses or find out how else is taking the same class, they may be able to offer help. Good Luck!
