f a paid someone for advice and it wasn't right can i sue them?

I found a website that you pay someone and they well tell you what was the cheapest TV out there for my standards, and they were wrong, can i sue ? I'm not, just wondering if you can.If a paid someone online for advice and it wasn't right can i sue them?
no not unless they guaranteed thier advice to be rightIf a paid someone online for advice and it wasn't right can i sue them?
Go back and look at the terms and conditions that you probably barely skimmed when you signed up for this service. I'll bet you a shiny nickel that they are legally covered in every possible way, up to and including stating plainly that the lowest price is not guaranteed.

If somehow they did not, then you probably could sue, but then it would only be for the difference in price, which likely is less than the court filing fee. In that case, you also probably would not win.
There's almost certainly a disclaimer somewhere on that site that prohibits lawsuits such as this. Unless they guarantee that their advice (which, technically is only an opinion) was the only right answer (which no one would ever be stupid enough to do), there's no chance.

Even MapQuest tells you you're out of luck if you follow their directions and they lead you the wrong way.
Advice rarely comes with a guarantee.
Did you read the small print? There is ALWAYS small print usually waiving your rights to sue.
