the best resolution out there is 1080p then 1080i then 720p but 720p is still bril compared to SD

Not sure about resolution... you should just test that out yourself.
But wireless or wired won't make a differance the PS3 is really fine when playing online as It loads the graphics etc before playing. Thats why you don't get so much lag unlike on your PC etc.
well i set my ps3 up wireless shes right at the top it dont really matter wireless or wired
